THE
BLACK
IMPROPER
Boston's first Black/Queer multimedia Production Network and Magazine.
THE WORK
The mission of The Black Improper is to empower the queer and trans BIPOC communities of New England through art, culture, and connection.
TBI aims to use education and representation to uplift, and celebrate members of our Queer and Trans BIPOC communities without dramatizing the struggles these specific communities face. To achieve this, we will use our platform to build a network of local POC artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and creatives.
Our mission will perpetuate a positive view of Queer and Trans BIPOC cultures, creating healthy values for members of these communities.
Our vision is to use multimedia to amplify the voices and experiences of queer & trans POC while enriching the lives of this community through professional development and community engagement opportunities.
This will build a sustainable community to share resources, expose art, and help queer & trans POC communities thrive.
